Secretario De Tecnología

Dear Elder Mason Grant , I am pleased to confirm the assignment you have received to serve as the Secretary of Technology. Through willing obedience, hard work, and love, you have demonstrated trustworthiness and faithfulness to the Lord.  You will now have the responsibility to influence and assist the entire mission, to serve more effectively and advanced. Remember that it is important to go forward with the attributes of Christ of diligence, and knowledge, and continue to find yourself learning and becoming more knowledgeable of your calling. I invite you to study and apply the principles in Doctrine & Covenants 6:1-8  I also suggest you remember the Lord’s declaration, “Behold, I will hasten my work in its time.” You must be exemplary in keeping mission rules and standards, with exactness. This assignment comes to you through inspiration from the Lord.  As you manage the technology over the mission and do so with the guiding help of the spirit, you will be directe...

I’m A Lazy Pants

Image
The title says it well. I'm a lazy pants and I don't want to write my weekly email. BUT, I'm trying to be less lazy in good habits and I've now started making breakfast every morning and exercising too! I've also started writing in my journal every day! So I'm making all the good habits!  We'll have to see if I can keep those habits next week because this next week will be CrAzY!!!. This week has been super fun! I've been learning a lot and have been accomplishing the tasks given to me pretty well! The president has made it very clear that many of the tasks in the secretary business are confidential and can't be shared, but I can share that I've been catching up on tasks that are behind, and working on strengthening the mission Facebook page in preparation for the temple trip. We also spent a bunch of this week preparing for the upcoming transfers, which is CrAzY! There's a lot of missionaries coming and going, so we have to prepare  everythi...

Working A 9-4 Job

Image
Hi friends! I'm sorry for being a tease, but I do have something to tell you.  For this past transfer, I've been keeping the secret that I was not going to stay in El Bosque for the full 6 weeks. Since before the last transfers I've known that I was going to go to another area with another companion, but I've been scared to tell you all. But the truth is, I've been sent to the heart of San Pedro Sula, in an area called San Pedro Sula 2.  This is the area that has the temple, so when I was in Las Brisas (already super close to the temple) I was preparing to leave for another area much farther, but I somehow got to the one area closer to the temple.  You know what? I've been trying to dodge the biggest point of news to share but I'm confusing myself trying to say it, so I'm just going to spill the beans: I'm now the  Technology Secretary  of the mission! This means I'm now with Elder Muñoz  again   because he's the General Secretary. I never th...

Goodbye Forest

Image
Hi friends! I don't have much time to talk because I'm busy packing up my stuff!  That's right friends! I'm outta here! This forest is terrible and I don't like it, so I'm skedadling to another part of Honduras (hopefully a part with less trees) All jokes though (well, besides leaving the area)! I've loved my time in El Bosque and it's been a crazy 4 weeks climbing one mountain to the next dodging mosquitos and mototaxis and baptizing like crazy with Elder Sopon! They've been chaotic, stressful, and fun, but duty is calling me to new places! Now some of you may be saying ... wait a minute! a transfer is 6 weeks, but you've only been here for 4! You are correct, but I've been given a special assignment from the president, and have to leave now. So while it's bittersweet to leave an area so soon after getting there, it is what it is.  After being in two areas for 6 months each, it's a big contrast to only be in an area for 4 weeks. Now ...

The Build Up Of Years Of Effort

Hi friends! I hope you’re all doing well! I’m still going here in El Bosque, but WOW it’s super tiring always climbing up mountains.  Why do people decide to build houses so high up?! Sadly, I don’t have much time to write this week because I’ve spent most of my time responding to many of the loving emails I’ve received! Thanks so much for the emails and guidance you’ve shared with me! I really appreciate it! Of interesting events of this past week, we had a family home evening event where we had several investigators, a recent convert, and an inactive member join us! It was awesome!   The mission president passed by our house to do interviews! It was super cool, and I got to see a little bit of the behind the scenes of the life of the mission president when the mother of a missionary called in the middle of the interview with concerns about her son! The mission president seemed pretty anxious and frustrated during the whole interview (though he handled it like a champ) a...
