Working A 9-4 Job
Hi friends!
I'm sorry for being a tease, but I do have something to tell you. For this past transfer, I've been keeping the secret that I was not going to stay in El Bosque for the full 6 weeks. Since before the last transfers I've known that I was going to go to another area with another companion, but I've been scared to tell you all. But the truth is, I've been sent to the heart of San Pedro Sula, in an area called San Pedro Sula 2. This is the area that has the temple, so when I was in Las Brisas (already super close to the temple) I was preparing to leave for another area much farther, but I somehow got to the one area closer to the temple.
You know what? I've been trying to dodge the biggest point of news to share but I'm confusing myself trying to say it, so I'm just going to spill the beans: I'm now the Technology Secretary of the mission! This means I'm now with Elder Muñoz again because he's the General Secretary. I never thought I would be companions with someone I've already been companions with, but now it's happened and it's super fun.
I'm learning so much as a secretary, and Elder Smith has been an awesome trainer because he involves me with every single task so I know about everything I need to do. It's a lot to do, but I'm enjoying the challenge and the many new lessons that I'm learning every day. I'm ready to try my hardest and serve with all my might.
Anyways... at this point, I'm getting lazy and I don't want to write anymore. Lots of stuff happened, but I'm just going to write a bullet-point list of notable things that happened.
- My welcome present was a bird
- Elder Smith asked the mission president to do the next district council training (he said no)
- A member baked us a cake
- Elder Smith invited a person to be baptized (prayers for Justin please)
- We met a family that's super interested in learning the gospel
- I ran into some friends from Las Brisas and El Mochito!
- Gave the landlady a heart attack because we forgot to tell her we were leaving
- Eat pizza in a fancy restaurant
The office missionaries are so nice and have just accepted me as one of their own. I feel like I belong and that I will love my time here! It's going to be an interesting 6 months!
Also, today I hit 1 year in Honduras. Last year on the 17th of August I went from the MTC to Honduras and started my year of craziness here!
Guys. You're awesome! Keep being awesome! Shout outs to Karen, who's going strong in Guatemala, and to Sister Leavitt that's in the MTC right now! You guys are awesome! Love you all so much and I hope you all have a great week!
