The Hottest And Coldest Days In The Same Week!

Image
Hi friends! I hope you are all doing great!  This week, I melted!!!  I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but I've been teaching a youth named Roni, and this week he was baptized!!!  To be honest, I'm not sure how I should present this week to you guys, I think I'll just mention some interesting points this week with some interesting details! To start off:  This week was the Holy Week, that means that we had: the hottest day of the year! and: no one to teach (because of vacays to the beach) But seriously though, this week was HOT.  On Tuesday it got to 106°F, with the temp feeling like 113°F.  I was so happy when a rainstorm passed by on Wednesday, leaving Thursday at a nice, chilly 77°F.  I think that's the coldest I've felt here in San Pedro Sula! It was luxurious. Now, this week we taught, interviewed, and baptized Roni. It was an amazing experience, and he was ready for it.  He's been helping us share the gospel too! We've been able to teach...

A Full Week

Hi friends! Like every week, I have little time to write, so I’ll try to keep this short and sweet for all of you!  A ton of stuff happened this week so I’ll try to make a fun bullet point list of notable events of this past week! Not so ideal things that happened: We went to the home of a family with relationship troubles The husband started rattling to us about his wife She was sitting next to him He rambled about all the things she was doing on for an hour We don’t know what to do and we’re too scared to go back We received a reference of a person interested in the Book of Mormon We called him He told us we could visit him on the spot We tried our best to follow his instructions to find his house We got lost We called a member friend to help us find him Together, we got lost again We asked him where he was exactly He told us he was in another Brisas  We lost 30 minutes trying to find him (and him us) On the bright side, the missionaries there have a new person to teach We w...

It's Finished!

Well, technically... it's hard to explain. Hi friends! This week I.... I... ... I'm feeling a little lazy. Let's talk next week! That's not a joke. See you later.  - Élder Grant I'm sorry, I'll try to do better. This week we:  - Finished the mural  - Realized there's still a little bit more mural to do  - I'm in denial now - Élder Grant And also...  - The person we've been teaching fell off the face of the earth (again)  - Got haircuts  - Ate McDonalds  - Ate with members  - Said goodbye to friends  - Prepared to get transfered (not me, my comp)  - Didn't get transfered (neither one of us)  - Welcomed Elder Snyder to the Zone   - Got our ac fixed  - Lost power for a day (107°F outside)  - Got a new person to come to church!!!  - Got a mega sore throat  - Swallowed pills   - Had an existential crisis (it happens sometimes)  - Got an amazing talk to read from my mom The Everlastin...

Hi friends! I don’t have time to talk this week, so I’ll just give a very  very  short summary of what happened this week. -  We went to the house of the temple-construction-manager and ate some *very spicy* food . - A person we just barely started teaching called the Bishop asking to be Baptized - That same person (named Roni (Ronny) ) has also been helping to paint, has been going to Seminary, and joined us in our weekly Mission Coordination meeting. - He’s basically a full on member already. - We spent a day wasting our time because we went looking for a shortcut to get to a member’s house and got stuck in various dead-ends. - We helped decorate the chapel for a baby shower - They didn’t invite us to the baby shower (the nerve!) - We painted the mural and had a paint disaster! - My comp gave two baptismal interviews for two people being baptized! - I listened to a butt ton of talks about the Atonement (Highly recommend as a study topic) I do have a story to tell (a bu...
