Goodbye Honduras

Hi friends!

In two days I go home. It's been a wild ride getting here. I've learned so much these past two years, and I'm excited to keep growing and learning throughout my life.

Yesterday I went to the mission offices to be with Elder Muñoz for a third and final time and went out to visit some old friends from my time in Las Brisas. It was pretty being able to see them again and to hear the stories of their conversion and the role we had in helping them come to the gospel. Albaluz (Elder Muñoz's convert) and Celenia (my convert) still go to church every week and support each other. Mario and Maria finally got baptized and were very happy to see us. When we passed by the mural we painted over a year ago to see it one more time we stopped at the chapel and found its doors open. When we entered we found the whole ward there participating in a baptismal service. They were so happy to see us and when the baptism ended we took a photo with the whole ward. (see pic)

These people have had a big impact on my life. They kept me going even when I had hard days, and seeing their joy at being with us even a short time more and reminisce on the good times we had together made me so happy.

This work is amazing and blesses the lives of thousands of people every day. It has blessed my life, and I hope to always remember the great times I've had here on Honduras.

Now I'm off to do some final visits with Elder Muñoz and tie up some loose ends, on Wednesday I go back home. I hope you all have a great week! Some of you I'll see in person this week, others I'll have to write to, but thanks for all your love and support during these amazing two years. I love you all so much!
