A Very Elect Person

Hi friends!

I hope you're doing well! I had a good week! We've been working hard trying to meet new people and helping them get to church. It's hard work as always, but rewarding when the miracles come.

We have a ton of referrals right now for a town called Quimistan, so we've been spending extra time trying to find and meet with them. Some referrals are really excited to meet with us and have a ton of questions, and a bunch just ghost us. It's weird sometimes because they fill out a referral sheet asking for us to visit with them, then the referral secretaries call them and confirm their desire to learn more, but when we finally contact them they don't seem as excited to meet with us, but hey, that's life sometimes!

We have one referral that is super elect. She got in contact with the missionaries 6 months ago, but they never visited her. This time she tried again and we contacted her straight away and met up with her the next day. She has a ton of questions about the church and is actively working to learn more and come closer to Christ. Her first questions to us were: What do I need to go to church? and What do I need to get baptized? We're hoping to keep working with her and see more miracles. Please keep Yorleny in your prayers. She doesn't have support from her family, but isn't satisfied with the way her life is and is actively looking for an improvement.

Our friend Yin (also from Quimistan) is also progressing very well! He made it to church this week (though crazy traffic made it hard for him to get here) and is super excited for his baptism next week! We discovered this week that his next-door neighbor and his online girlfriend are both members of the church and are super supportive of his desire to be baptized. Please keep him in your prayers too so he can keep progressing and be baptized.

The work is still going here, albeit a little slow. One of our constant difficulties is getting people to church. But we're trying to unite with the members to help them come (one difficulty we have is that there are 0 active members of the church in Quimistan, and most of our referrals are from that town). The members here are awesome, as always.

I hope you guys have a great Holy Week and Easter season! San Marcos is currently having a state fair to celebrate, so we'll have an interesting week to be certain. One of the things I've been enjoying most about this past week is the extra focus I've been putting on sharing the knowledge of the Atonement with the people. It is such a sweet treat to know that Jesus paid the full price of my 'ticket to heaven' so I can come back with him. His atonement and the blessings of a forgiveness of my sins and the resurrection of all of our souls brings me great joy to know and share with everyone.

Please have a great week! I love you all! Enjoy Easter and don't forget to make time to remember our Savior!
