I'm Retired

Hi friends!

Thats right! Im officially retired from the office. Elder Ensign - my replacement - has taken full control and is doing a great job! That doesn't mean that I'm doing nothing though, there's still plenty to do around here! We've been working hard preparing Miguel for his baptism (which will be tomorrow!) and helping other people progress towards making the covenant of baptism as well. It's been a busy time here in the office focusing on both office work and missionary work. This week we had our interviews with President McClellan and they were amazing! It was a good time to think back on what I've done so far and look forward to my final area and what I'll do there. I'm 99% going to train as I finish the mission, and I'm so excited for it! Any advice for that would be greatly appreciated. My time in the office sure has been an eventful and entertaining time. President McClellan admitted that he has appreciated the increased confidence that I've shown during my time in the office, and to be honest, I'm grateful for the experiences I've had that have given me greater confidence as well. I now feel more confident in my gospel knowledge and my language and communication skills.

Anyways, while a lot has happened this week, I'm now spacing out on everything. Though one notable event were some divisions we did on Thursday amongst the whole office to get all the baptismal interviews down. After we reviewed the questions with Miguel the day before (side note: we got to meet with Miguel at the temple which was a special experience to show him around) I felt pretty confident that he was ready, and sure enough he passed the interview! As the week has gone on I've started feeling more of the weight of leaving the area. It's always sad to say goodbye to good friends. I have mixed feelings about leaving, but I know that it will be a great opportunity to keep learning and growing, and I will get to know a new area that I will surely love.

I hope you are doing well and are healthy! Keep on working hard! I love you guys and I hope you're doing well!
