A Special Experience

This week was a fun one! Though it hardly went to plan..

Hi friends and family!

Thanks for tuning in to another week of Honduras with me! This week has definitely been an interesting one!

To start it off, we planned a meeting with a referral we received several weeks ago, but then we received a message from a member stating that they managed to plan a Family Home Evening activity with one of their friends at the same time. After a bunch of messages, we managed to make time for both and we were able to have two awesome lessons meeting and teaching two new friends! Meet Wilmer and Hector! Wilmer decided to fill out a referral form to get in contact with the missionaries and seems to be really Interested in learning more about the gospel! Hector was invited by Jefte to come to the FHE activity and he decided to join us! We had an awesome lesson with Rafael Castellanos and Jefte with us and they testified so strongly about the gospel. A sweet moment I got to witness was Jefte casually testifying about the power of prayer in his life as we ended the FHE with some Baleadas. It was a casual moment, but an invitation and testimony that I thought was super powerful. Sometimes the simple moments, testimonies, invitations, etc are the best.

The next day was just as good with an awesome FHE with our recent converts! We put on the 'Christ Child' - a nativity video that the church made several years ago, and then had a discussion about the birth of Jesus.

After that, we hit a hard streak where we would message people to confirm appointments, and we would follow up, but when we get to their house they would cancel on us. To be honest, it was a little frustrating that they wouldn't have any conflict until shortly before the appointment, and they wouldn't tell us until we got to their house. But we're still trying to help them.

On other news, we went to the temple this week! Every missionary in the mission got to go and do an endowment session, and it was so special being able to go through the temple again! It was also a pleasant surprise to find the mission president and his wife waiting for us in the Celestial Room! All in all, it was an edifying experience for us all.

This week has been a complicated one for me, with a lot of last minute complications and conflicts to the plans I've made. It's been a little trying because I like things to go the way I want them to, but this week has been a chance for me to practice 'going with the flow'. It's hard and not the most pleasant, but it's lead to new experiences!

Reflecting on this week, I would say that it was a good one and one I enjoyed! That being said, I'm excited for next week to be able to try things again and continue progressing and helping my friends progress.

To wrap this all off, I would like to ask all of you guys to pray for several of my friends to help them with several trials they are passing through. Some have illnesses, others work problems, others addictions and other sorts of afflictions. Please pray for them. They are: The Peña Family, Marlon Milla, Miguel Rodriguez, Idalia Martinez, Wilmer Martel, Justin Mejia, Carmen Dominguez.

Thank you all for your constant prayers and support and for all you do! I love you guys so much!
