Faith To Live The Higher Laws
Hi friends!
How are you?! I hope you are well!
--
I've had a very busy week, and a fun one too! I don't want to spend too much time writing though, so I'm going to summarize this week in bullet points!
This week we:
- Woke up at 6am on P-day to hike up to the Coca-Cola on the mountain, and then up to the top of the mountain (we got permission to wake up early)
- Discovered that the mission car got robbed overnight. All the doors were open and the spare tire was missing, but outside of that, nothing else was lost.
- Had a technical malfunction in our house that resulted in the oven, clothes dryer, and air conditioners not working anymore. We've since been having an office-home sleep over in the 'celestial room' because we can open the windows there and put fans up. Once the air conditioners are working again, we'll go back to our normal rooms.
- Had surprise emergency divisions with Elder Porter and had a super awesome day.
- We visited a reference we received with Elder Porter and put a baptismal date with him for Dec 7th. Please pray for Miguel that he may receive the gospel and apply it in his life and receive the blessings that come from it!
- Had interviews with the Mission President! It was a super special experience having interviews with him again, and the message he shared with me felt directed exactly at me. As he taught me about faith I felt an electric surge through my body, a feeling that I don't have too often. He talked about having faith to follow God's laws (specifically his Higher Laws) and how we need to have faith in him and that the hard times will bless us with success - and if not, with a Christlike attribute - and if not, with a valuable and needed lesson - and if not, with blessings over our family, our friends, our spouse (or future spouse). Our diligence, obedience, faith, and hard work may not bring fruits to us, but to others who desperately need blessings. We don't know what the blessings are, but we can be confident that they will come.
Other than that, it's just been work, work, work here in the office and in my area. We're trying our best to work hard. It's super fun, and I've enjoyed this week a ton!
Now, I hope that you have a great week and that you keep coming closer to Christ. Your work now will bless your (and others) future. Thanks for everything! I love you!
Elder Grant
