We're Addicted To Board Games
Hi!
--
We're addicted to board games...Cover Your Assets to be exact! In fact, we're playing the game right now (but I'm not winning). Just about every night this week we've played the game as an office, and now we're getting a little competitive! At least we're having fun.
This week has been a productive one. I have to start by mentioning that I forgot to mention a baptism that we had last week (oops). Isabella is the younger sister of one of our recent converts, and she got baptized last week! She was so happy to be baptized, and laughed with joy after coming out of the water! She's awesome!
This week has been a lot of office work and missionary service. It's fun, but sometimes we have to do tedious office work that isn't fun. I've also had to go grocery shopping quite a bit with my companion. I have to drive him to all the stores where we can shop. It's fun to drive, but also a little terrifying. Every time we drive from one place to another we almost get hit at least 5 times. Honduras has a crazy and lawless traffic system.
This week we met a super awesome reference named José. He's been seeing the church's adds on Youtube and Facebook for a while, and now wants to learn more about the church. He's super awesome and super smart and I love his questions and insights. I hope to be able to keep teaching him and seeing the wonder in his eyes as we teach him the gospel!
Now, in summary. This week has been a pretty awesome one. I've enjoyed it, and I hope that you guys have too. I've been doing pretty good at reading the Book of Mormon every day, and I find that it really helps me when I feel stressed out. The power of the Word of God is immense. Please read a little bit every day, even if it's just to feel a little bit more connected to God. In the april general conference one of the speakers mentioned that we don't have to learn something every time we read the scriptures. Sometimes we just have to do it so we can have a moment with God. Please set aside time to have that moment with God.
Anyways, that's it for me this week! I love you all and I wish you a great week! Until next time!
