Awesome Haircuts, Book Of Mormon, Converts In The Temple, Duolingo... Your ABCDs

Hi all!  The most important news of this week is that I have a 364 day Duolingo streak! That means that starting tomorrow I'll have officially learned Spanish. To celebrate: I got a haircut and went to a super fancy Guatemalan chicken place! It was like we were celebrating somebody's birthday (we are)!  This week has been super awesome! Some highlights were: Divisions with the ZLs. I went with Elder Alvarendlga and was able to see his excitement to teach! He's one of the referral secretaries so he almost never sees the light of day. He just stays home calling people to see if they're interested in meeting with the missionaries. It was really fun going out with him and visiting our friends. One of our recent converts came back from Santa Barbara this week, and had a super awesome week. From our perspective was: Come back from Santa Barbara, celebrate their b-day, get interviewed by the bishop and go to the temple to do baptisms for the dead on the same day, and then go t...

We're Addicted To Board Games

Image
Hi! We're addicted to board games...Cover Your Assets to be exact! In fact, we're playing the game right now (but I'm not winning).  Just about every night this week we've played the game as an office, and now we're getting a little competitive! At least we're having fun. This week has been a productive one.  I have to start by mentioning that I forgot to mention a baptism that we had last week (oops).  Isabella is the younger sister of one of our recent converts, and she got baptized last week! She was so happy to be baptized, and laughed with joy after coming out of the water! She's awesome! This week has been a lot of office work and missionary service. It's fun, but sometimes we have to do tedious office work that isn't fun.  I've also had to go grocery shopping quite a bit with my companion. I have to drive him to all the stores where we can shop. It's fun to drive, but also a little terrifying. Every time we drive from one place to anot...

Let’s Mix It Up!

Hey all! There's some other things I want to do today, so I'll keep this email short. This week we had transfers That about sums it up. Have a great week! Love you all! - Élder Grant

A Spiritual Feast

Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well! I apologize for not writing for a while, but I haven't been without recording the events of these past few weeks. I've been doing my best to be more diligent in recording my Spiritual moments in my journal.  Several months ago my mom sent me a special journal for my birthday, but for several months I put nothing in it because I was worried about wasting it by putting lousy information inside of it.  But after much prayer I decided to fill it with spiritual experiences and insights, like what Nephi did with his plates, and it seems to have a spiritual presence to it now.  My favorite moments are sitting in front of it, writing down those special moments that help me every day.  As I see it fill up, I get more excited for when I reach the end of my mission and have a full journal of  my  witness of God's hand in my life. Please remember that it is a commandment of God to keep a record of the events in your life....
