In The Jungle!!

Though it may be better said: The Forest

Hi friends!

Welp, transfers have come and gone and now I'm in El Bosque!!!This week has been a little crazy, and I don't have much time to write, so I'll just focus on the important things.

I'm now in a new area with a new companion: Elder Sopón.  He looks just like superman and works super hard.  He's just starting out his mission, and this past week he put down 2 baptismal dates. He's a superstar!  He teaches in a way I've never seen before, so I'm learning a ton of new things, but it's cool to see how each missionary sees the work and how to perform it. I was chatting with my parents on the pros and cons of our different ways of teaching and I'm just really impressed on how God manages to get the work done no matter how we teach.  He always seems to be able to magnify our efforts, and I know that he will have a super successful mission.

El Bosque is exactly what its name says: it's a forest.  It's also a mountain, so I'm constantly hiking from one house to the next.  It's tiring but it's great to help me manage my weight hahaha. One con of this area is the mosquitos though. There are constantly about 5 mosquitos flying around me, even inside the house. In fact, I discovered that part of the window was missing and that's why there's so many bugs.  This house is also super messy, but after a day of deep cleaning it's looking much better. I can actually use the fridge now!!  We also have to walk a ton to get to the church or the pensionista's house, which is unfortunate, but at least the pensionista is fire. Every day we eat something yummy, and something new, so I'm super happy about that.  We also eat with two other missionaries, so shoutouts to Elder Parker and Elder Tholstrom!!

This past week has been chaotic, but it's fun meeting new people, please keep your prayers out for Yamilet: Who's getting baptized tomorrow.  And also for Cleverson and Jessica who are going to be baptized in the upcoming weeks. They're both people who've been prepared for this moment and they need all the support they can get.

Things sure are different here than they are in Las Brisas, so I'm doing my best to get used to it. I'll keep trying everyday to support my new comp and my new area and keep improving.  There's so much to learn still!

If you would like some spiritual homework, I recommend you read Alma chapter 33. I love the quotes of Zenos and Zenock, and it makes me wonder what nuggets of wisdom we have yet to learn from those prophets of old.

Love you guys so much! I hope you all have a happy and safe week! I look forward to reporting on what happened next week!

Here's a bonus invitation:

There are two new inspirational-messages (in English) and I invite you all to watch them. Theyre awesome (for you Spanish speakers you'll have to wait a bit for them to be translated)
