Baptism!!

Hi friends!!

This week we had the baptism of hermana Yamilet and it was awesome!! A ton of people showed up to it, more than we thought so it was awesome to see so much support for her!! We spent several hours preparing for the baptism so it seems like our hard work payed off super well!!

We also had divisions this week with the district leaders in la Victoria which were super interesting!! I was paired up with Elder Martinez, which is my missionary step brother, so it was super cool to meet him! I loved the experience, but I was super excited to get back to my area because we are helping two people prepare for their baptisms. Please keep Jessica and Cleverson in your prayers because they are so close to their baptisms! Jessica's should be this weekend!

Elder Sopón is awesome! He keeps working hard to serve the people and follow the missionary standards. He's definitely gonna become a leader some day because he's got that kind of confidence in him. He also really wants me to improve and gives me tons of advice on how I can improve. He really is focused on helping the people.

We've spent a ton of time this week knocking on doors and contacting people. It's been kinda unfruitful so far, but it's fun to share messages with everyone. We had a funny experience where the house we contacted had Jehovas Witnesses inside. We tried to offer them service, a pamphlet, a prayer, anything! And they said no to all of then (first time someone's rejected saying a prayer to Jeho-ahem-God)

This week has been super interesting, but also a week with a lot of growing pains, but it happens sometimes and you just have to keep going. Recently I've been focusing more on my weaknesses and that has been making me suffer more emotionally, but aren't parents amazing!! They've really helped me out and I feel ready to take on a new week. If you got any mental health/self worth tricks for me to know, please share them! They'll help out a ton!!

Hi friends! This is my first mission email, and wow. I'm here! I've spent 18 years wondering if I would go on a mission, and now I am on my first week! This week I was at home doing online MTC, and I will be in the Mexico MTC (the CCM) by the end of next week. That might also mean that my P-day will be on a different day next week. Anyways, I will try to keep you all updated as often as I can. Sunday I was set apart as a missionary today. I was able to have my immediate family members as well as some grandparents be with me as I became an official missionary. Monday First day of my mission! When Grandparent's Day And Children's Day Collide...

Hi friends!!! Welp, I've now downloaded more general conference talks than I know what to do with. Do you guys think I'll be able to read every talk from 1995 to now during my mission?  I'm currently working my way backwards, starting from this last general conference and going back in time. At the time of writing this email I am ~40% of the way through the October 2022 general conference. At this time I'm not putting much focus into the general conference talks, instead focusing more on learning and memorizing Book of Mormon scriptures because that is the resource I will use most for teaching. During personal study I focus on the lessons and the doctrine (Preach my Gospel and the Scriptures), and outside of personal study I check out new resources and delve into topics I'm interested in. Goodbye Forest

Hi friends! I don't have much time to talk because I'm busy packing up my stuff!  That's right friends! I'm outta here! This forest is terrible and I don't like it, so I'm skedadling to another part of Honduras (hopefully a part with less trees) All jokes though (well, besides leaving the area)! I've loved my time in El Bosque and it's been a crazy 4 weeks climbing one mountain to the next dodging mosquitos and mototaxis and baptizing like crazy with Elder Sopon! They've been chaotic, stressful, and fun, but duty is calling me to new places! Now some of you may be saying ... wait a minute! a transfer is 6 weeks, but you've only been here for 4! You are correct, but I've been given a special assignment from the president, and have to leave now. So while it's bittersweet to leave an area so soon after getting there, it is what it is.  After being in two areas for 6 months each, it's a big contrast to only be in an area for 4 weeks. Now ...
