No Time To Talk!

Hi friends!


I'm sorry, I don't have any time to talk, I spent the whole day cleaning the house (it wasn't that messy, it's just that we wanted to do a little extra and that took a little while to do)


Three highlights of the week are:
 - Divisions with the Elders in Villas McKay: Elder Flores went with me and he's awesome!
 - The San Pedro Sula temple was announced!  I talked with Bro Richards (the boss of the temple's construction) about when it would happen and he told me he didn't know, then the next day it was announced!!!
 - New hymns are here! I'm already memorizing them in Spanish because they're amazing!!! I definentally recommend learning the sacrament song: Bread of Life, Living Water


I just got notice that I'm not going to be district leader anymore, so that's cool! It was fun being district leader, but the next person will likely do it better than me.  I do wonder if that means I'll be transferred out of Las Brisas this week though...


Either way! I'm having a fun time in the mission.  Things are far from perfect, but I always end the week feeling good about all the little miracles that happened!

Hi friends! This is my first mission email, and wow. I'm here! I've spent 18 years wondering if I would go on a mission, and now I am on my first week! This week I was at home doing online MTC, and I will be in the Mexico MTC (the CCM) by the end of next week. That might also mean that my P-day will be on a different day next week. Anyways, I will try to keep you all updated as often as I can. Sunday I was set apart as a missionary today. I was able to have my immediate family members as well as some grandparents be with me as I became an official missionary. Monday First day of my mission! For some reason this day took two weeks to complete, and it was TERRIFYING. When Grandparent's Day And Children's Day Collide...

Hi friends!!! Welp, I've now downloaded more general conference talks than I know what to do with. Do you guys think I'll be able to read every talk from 1995 to now during my mission?  I'm currently working my way backwards, starting from this last general conference and going back in time. At the time of writing this email I am ~40% of the way through the October 2022 general conference. At this time I'm not putting much focus into the general conference talks, instead focusing more on learning and memorizing Book of Mormon scriptures because that is the resource I will use most for teaching. During personal study I focus on the lessons and the doctrine (Preach my Gospel and the Scriptures), and outside of personal study I check out new resources and delve into topics I'm interested in. Goodbye Forest

Hi friends! I don't have much time to talk because I'm busy packing up my stuff!  That's right friends! I'm outta here! This forest is terrible and I don't like it, so I'm skedadling to another part of Honduras (hopefully a part with less trees) All jokes though (well, besides leaving the area)! I've loved my time in El Bosque and it's been a crazy 4 weeks climbing one mountain to the next dodging mosquitos and mototaxis and baptizing like crazy with Elder Sopon! They've been chaotic, stressful, and fun, but duty is calling me to new places! Now some of you may be saying ... wait a minute! a transfer is 6 weeks, but you've only been here for 4! You are correct, but I've been given a special assignment from the president, and have to leave now. So while it's bittersweet to leave an area so soon after getting there, it is what it is.  After being in two areas for 6 months each, it's a big contrast to only be in an area for 4 weeks. Now ...
