Pampered P-Day
Hi friends!
I don't have much time to talk, so I'll give a brief summary of this week!
- We had interviews with the Pres
- We played soccer and I made a goal
- Elder Randall brought a card game called Happy Salmon and the bishop loved it!
- We had a contacting session that consisted of bugging a member for references
- Maximiliano made it to church!!!
- Hna Mati (the pensionista) came back from the USA (I liked her daughter's cooking better though...)
- Visited with Hna Karen every day
- Power went out twice
- We got to meet the members better
- We fasted
- We helped a friend move houses
- We cleaned the church (they assigned us to clean it this week XD)
- We gave a bunch of priesthood blessings
- We supported a member who had a health scare
- She offered us a free haircut so she could teach her brother how to cut
- We ate baleadas with the fam
- We got haircuts from her brother (his first cuts)
- I got a massage from her brother
- I got a facial treatment from her brother.
Basically: I got pampered. We agreed to it because she needed a distraction from her health worries, and she wanted to teach her brother how to take her job (because she's going to the USA in a few weeks). We did not realize that there was going to be so much pampering, but it was kinda fun. I now have a pretty good haircut, and I've emotionally recharged a bunch for this next week.
I've been pretty stressed with all of the duties of being a missionary, but I'm so grateful for my new companion Elder Randall - he's so positive and happy!
My parents told me that I should focus on being happy, because if I'm not happy, is it worth being a missionary? So this week, I'm going to try to focus on Chillaxing and being Happy. Don't forget to 'Count your many blessings!'
Thank you so much for your love, help, and support! It's meant so much to me!!!
- Élder Grant
