What A Week!
Hi friends!
This week was quite a rollercoaster ride!
First of all: Few things went according to plan. We had planned a few baptisms for this Saturday, but literally everything that could go wrong did go wrong, and no baptism was had on Saturday. We've tried our best to salvage the situation, but we've hit some walls. I would like to ask you to pray for Hector Ochoa, who (if everything goes well) will be baptized this upcoming week.
On other terms - things that did not go according to plan were:
- The time it took to carry out a ward activity we were hosting
- The tragic death of my good friend Sopita
- A kid accidentally erasing all of my companion's photos
- Baptisms...
While sad things certainly happened this week, I would like to list a few things that really helped me have a good week, even when they were small.
Happiness moments for me were:
- Painting my Book of Mormon with the members around me
- Helping the youth paint their copies of the BOM so they could be proud of the result
- Discovering a music album in the Gospel Living app with a bunch of my favorite Youth Songs from the Church
- Having a FHE activity with the pensionista
- Petting and holding a small chick that lived in the home of the pensionista that we named Sopita
- Comforting the pensionista after she accidently squished the chick (it felt good helping someone feel better - she felt really bad for it)
- Giving a priesthood blessing of counsel to a member of the ward
- Visiting a member we hadn't seen in a long time
- The new pensionista discovering I preferred foods mixed together (such as rice with veggies mixed in - she now hides veggies in all sorts of foods and laughs every time I eat it saying: "Ha! I hid a veggie in there and you ate it!". I like it because I'm now eating healthier because she's finding more veggies to hide in the eggs, rice, beans, etc)
- Reading Come, Follow Me after lunch with the Pensionista every day
- Getting an email from my dad exactly when I needed it
- Learning that my 2nd cousin got her mission call!
- Getting some amazing gospel talks to listen to from Elder Snyder
In the end, this week was a pretty good week. It was definentaly difficult, but many small things made my days brighter, and I've learned a ton this week.
I hope you all have a great week! And shout-outs to my 2nd cousin Liberty who recieved her mission call!!!

Here's some photos of the BOM I painted.
