Someone Ate My Cookie?!

Hi friends!

You heard that right: Someone ate my cookie!!!!!

The story is:

As we were leaving the institute building after our district council we ran into the janitor: Guadalupe!  She had a box of cookies with her and offered one to me and my new comp. We graciously accepted and started walking back to our area.  As we walked we chatted and ate, until some people coming the other way stopped us to say something.

We started chatting (though I can't remember a thing they were saying) and one of them started to chat about the bible.  After a moment he motioned to my cookie, and I thought that he wanted to prove a point using my cookie.  I held it up higher so it was easier to see, and .... and ...

He snatched it out of my hand and popped it right in his mouth!!!!!

Then he said Thank you, Good bye, and left!

What an interesting experience. The cookie was Oatmeal Raisin, so I can't cry too much over it.

On terms of other events of the week - I will have to rely purely on memory for this one.
 - Elder Muñoz got notice that he would be leaving, so we goodbye to as many friends as we could.
 - I was called to be the new district leader, so that's stressful
 - My new comp came in!
 - Our planned baptism did NOT happen.  We'll keep trying, but please keep Hector in your prayers so he can overcome his difficulties
 - We had a super spiritual experience when we were impressed to stop and talk to a woman sweeping her porch
 - Karen chastized me because I forgot to message her to go visiting with us
 - We ate dinner with Melissa Osorto, and she gossiped with us about all the missionaries from four years ago
- I gave the training for the district council (I had to plan it too)
 - I gave a talk in church
 - I have had NO free time to study or relax or anything

In other words: This has been a busy week. This next transfer will be super crazy, but I have faith that we'll see many miracles.  My new comp is super good and likes to work hard.

Now. I don't want to be so rude as last time I swapped companions, so I'll be to the point:

My New Comp is: Elder R

- Élder Grant

Okay!

Sorry sorry!

My new comp is Elder Randall. He is from Idaho (near Rexburg), and we're going to have a really hard time speaking only in Spanish.

He has the same Nawal as me (Batz) so we should hopefully get along well this transfer.

I invite you all to search up your Mayan Nawal this week!

See ya!
