Miracles In General

Hi friends!

This week was amazing ... even if my comp and I were cooped up at home sick for a few days.  This week was filled with miracles and I am able to see the hand of the Lord guiding us daily.  One of the most amazing miracles of the week was being able to watch General Conference, 2255 miles from the Conference Center, in the language easiest for us to underestand, live.  It's also a miracle being able to hear the voice of the Lord through his representatives so frequently.  The conference was amazing and I rate it 5 STARS. I loved all the talks and I wrote a mini bible worth of notes so I don't need to wait until they publish the individual talks tomorrow.  I was able to watch most of general conference with my district, and we had the pleasant surprise of several friends coming to watch with us.  One of them, named Hector, I met for the first time, and we taught him after the conference as a district.  After an awesome conversation about the doctrine of Christ, we invited him to be baptized and he accepted!  He's awesome.  While I don't know much about his past, many members and my companion knows more than I, and they are super happy to hear that he wants to be baptized.  I don't need to know his past to see that he's amazing and that God loves him immensly. I want to help him have a happy life, and who knows who he'll serve in the future!  Speaking of baptismal dates.  We set a goal to set a bunch of baptismal dates this week, and the ZLs called us to ask about each person and how likely it was that they would be baptized.  We were worried that a bunch would say know (which is kinda true), but at the end of the week we superseeded our goal of 7 baptismal dates with 8 people on date to make covenants with God.  I'm so happy for being able to help people come to Christ, and for the ability to invite people to do so.  To all you missionaries out there, don't be afraid to invite! Sometimes invitations bring miracles! Now, we're left with the stress of trying to prepare everyone for baptism now, but I'm so happy to be able to get to know so many happy people who are looking for better lives and futures for themselves and for their families.

Please keep in your prayers:
Katherine, Michelle, and Jeferson Lopez

Justin (last name unknown)
Hector Discua
Britany Castellanos
Maximiliano Palma

These people need all the help they can get, and I testify that prayers really do help!  If you don't believe me, listen to the April 2024 General Conference talk of Jeffrey R Holland again, he also testifies of the power of prayer!

I could try to squeeze out more into this weekly talk but I'm feeling a little tired. Please go back through the general conference talks as they come out, you will get more out of them this second and third revision, and God will tell you what you can do to lead Happier, Higher, Holier lives. Talk to you next week!
