The Honduras Bus Strikes Back
Yep, that's right folks!
I'm back!
Anyways, this week we'll be having transfers and I'll be checking out my second area! In preparation for that, I have a lot of chores to do. I've done a lot, but still am a long ways to go before I'm ready to leave, and I have very little time to prepare. Because of that, this will be a very short email.
Some interesting things that happened this week were:
- Rode the bus 5/7 days of the week
- Lost all my mission money to the bus
- Lost all my personal money to the bus (gotta go to the bank again)
- Lost my personal study time to the bus
- The bus has basically consumed my very thoughts at this point
- I also have two more bus rides planned thus next week
Fun things did come from the bus rides though. Those things are:
- Yummy food
- A zone activity where we got themed t-shirts
- Divisions where I was paired up with Zone Leader Elder Hall
- A stake conference
- A surprise visit from the Mission President during said Stake Conference
- Mega BOM study session where I read nonstop for hours on end (Im now on 3 Nephi 17 - You should read it)
On other news of the week:
- Nelson got his mission call!!!
- Freddy got his mission call!!!
The work is still going on very strong here, and I'm very grateful to have spent so much time in this area with my beloved companion Elder Franco (and Elder Miles too).
Right now I'm doing chores to get ready to leave on Thursday. I don't have much time outside of today to get it all done (really just Tuesday night and Wednesday morning after this) so I'm speedrunning getting everything ready for transfers.
I do want to send an email out recapping all that went on during my time in El Mochito (though very summarized, of course) but I don't have enough time for that at the moment, so we'll see what happens next week or in two weeks.
I love you guys so much and I'm so grateful for your constant support. Your love and wisdom has helped me ways that I cannot explain. Keep on doing good!
For your spiritual thought, I challenge all of you to read, watch, or listen to Pres. Nelson's General Conference talk: Self-Mastery. It's one of his first talks and it's pretty cool. I really enjoyed it, and maybe you will too.
Anyways. Have a great week!!!
- Elder Grant
