The Forgiveness Plea: FORGIVE ME!!!

Hi friends!!! I'm so sorry for not sending my previous email on time, I hope this one makes it on time though. Either way, you guys will likely be recieving two emails in the same week. I'm trying my hardest to catch up, but somehow I am feeling more busy than before!  Busy seems to be a little bit different than what I was expecting. I was imagining busy to be missionary duties, planning lessons, talking with people, etc. Busy seems to actually be cleaning, doing laundry, shopping, writing in journal, writing emails, etc. Yes, I do all of those things in a day, but the missionary duty part is something we plan for and set time aside every day to do, the other stuff we have to fit in in free time, and that is what makes me busy. Monday - Sept 18th In my previous email, I wrote into today in pretty good detail because I finished the email in the evening. I will go over this day again very quickly, bullet point style.  - Washed bed sheets today, first time in my mission  - ...

The Most BORING Holiday Ever.

Hey Friends!!! I may have mentioned that we got water back last week ... well I may have lost it again (Sorry not sorry). Even though the pipe to our house is fixed, a different part of the plumbing is now broken, and the tanks that supply water to our house has run dry. In the morning, after the rain we have some water to flush the toilets and wash our hands, but not enough to shower, which is a little rough.  Some weeks I struggle to think of a suitable name for my weekly email, and other weeks I have to pick between many cool names, hopefully this one has piqued your interest though. I've been becoming increasingly worse at keeping up with my email writing, so this email may be shorter than the previous one (but we'll see). Monday - Sept 11th I've already talked about today, but I will mention something that happened after the p-day ended. There is a family close to our home with many children, they love to see us and we usually visit at least once a week. Every meeting ...

Mid-Week Email

Hey Mom! I know you send emails to me every week during the week, and I never have the ability to read them before my P-day. I don't know if you've sent and email yet, but I was just thinking about you today and decided to write an email. You'll likely see this a short while before we talk, but I always appreciate seeing your emails, so I can see you appreciating mine.   Today is Honduran Independance day (Sept 15th) and so far it's been ... underwhelming.  I've heard lots of things about today, and about how crazy it is with everyone celebrating, but I have not seen any celebrations happening.  I hear that there is some sort of festival going on in Las Vegas, but we can't go into the town without permission from our district leader, and I doubt he would give permission to "Spectate celebrations".  Either way, I have high hopes that I can see lots of fireworks from my home this evening.   I've heard interesting things about these fireworks, that th...

Hi everyone! Sadly, I don't have enough time to finish my weekly email during my P-day, so I will have to finish it during my short period of free time before bed tonight. Next week you will likely recieve this week's email and the week after that, next week's email until I can catch everyone up on what I've been doing. To satisfy you guys for now, I will mention just a handful of things that have happened, and that will happen soon. Have happened:  - Sept 15th is Honduran Independence day (as well as independence day for many other Central American countries). Today was surprisingly boring.  - We had a movie night on Saturday. We watched 17 Miracles and it was pretty cool, even in Spanish.  - I got a haircut today, my first haircut in Honduras  - I now have one month here in Honduras! What will happen:  - Next P-day we'll have a "Zone Blanca" (White Zone) celebration. Every area in my zone has had or will have a baptism this month/transfer cycle, so we wi...

When Grandparent's Day And Children's Day Collide...

Hi friends!!! Welp, I've now downloaded more general conference talks than I know what to do with. Do you guys think I'll be able to read every talk from 1995 to now during my mission?  I'm currently working my way backwards, starting from this last general conference and going back in time. At the time of writing this email I am ~40% of the way through the October 2022 general conference. At this time I'm not putting much focus into the general conference talks, instead focusing more on learning and memorizing Book of Mormon scriptures because that is the resource I will use most for teaching. During personal study I focus on the lessons and the doctrine (Preach my Gospel and the Scriptures), and outside of personal study I check out new resources and delve into topics I'm interested in. I've been listening to some BYU speeches that my companion gave me, and some of them are really wonderful to listen to. Some talks I've already listened to multiple times e...

I'm Fasting For My Health! *Almost Dies*

Hi friends! Like every week, a lot has happened, but something very important did come to pass this week: I am now two months into my mission. That is 1/12 (2/24) of my mission completed already! For those who want stats I am 63 days into my mission, and am 668 days away from the end. I have also been in Hondras for 18 days! Some of you may look at the >650 days and think that that is a ton, but to be honest the 63 days spent in my mission is most impressive to me. A LOT of time has already passed, and it's gone by quickly. The next 668 days may seem long, but it will go by quickly. Also, every new email you get from me, 7 days will be taken down from that large number, and it will decrease quickly. This week I discovered that I will likely spend about 6 months here in Mochito 2, that being a fourth of my mission spent in the best area in the mission (hooray!). Sadly, I will spend less time with my trainer than most because he needs to be transfered to his new calling in the mid...
